Teenage drug and alcohol abuse is unfortunately on the rise in America and if you are reading this site it is probably because you are looking for guidance or answers about what to do next for your precious teen.

     We had a father who brought his son in to our testing facility, the father was sad, upset, angry,  ashamed and even broken with concern with his son. The son was somewhat frustrated but also humbled that his dad was bringing him in for drug testing because he had admitted to smoking marijuana.  When the father and son left, one of our staff had tears in her eyes and I asked her what was wrong, she said “there goes a a father that loves his son”. At that moment it hit me that this was a daddy that was doing something very uncomfortable by holding his son accountable, that this was a father concerned enough to get involved in his son’s business and lastly that this was the ultimate act of compassion for his son by doing something rather than waiting.

     When you bring your teenager in for drug testing at Fas-Tes our biggest priority is your privacy. All teen drug and alcohol testing is confidential and private. Results are released ONLY to the parent or guardian so there is no need to worry about your teens results being reported or recorded to anyone except to you.

     Please don’t let thoughts of guilt, failure, pride or embarrassment keep you from facing a teen or loved one suspected of drug use. It is better to have them tested and find that you were wrong about suspected drug use than to ignore any signs that show a need for help and not overcome teen drug abuse.
